The Sparkle Foundation registered as a charity under International Humanitarian City, Dubai #150131 on 10th November 2021 in order to:

Assist organisations with the set-up of viable CSR initiatives aligned to the 'CSR UAE Smart Platform' launched in 2021 by HRH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum requiring all companies to have a CSR programme.

Create volunteer opportunities for UAE nationals and expatriates who have limited options to make a significant impact remotely.

Offer Sparkle’s internationally recognised CSR initiative to companies and educational institutions in the region, helping establish the UAE as a global leader in CSR.

Provide organisations in the MENA region with an opportunity to legally contribute towards their companies overall Global CSR strategy / ESG reporting.

The Sparkle Foundation has impacted 14,000 lives in Malawi already and we are just getting started. With the Sparkle model aligning with nine of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, we have programmes for everyone.

Registering in the UAE was a strategic decision made by our CEO following over a decade of requests from our Middle East supporters to give people in the region an opportunity to make a real difference.

We have answered and in 2022 we launched #TheSparkleMovement.

We are building an army of change-makers and have a number of projects and volunteer positions available remotely. You can submit your interest to be a part of our volunteer team here.

This year we need to raise AED 500,000 to ensure we can continue to operate in the region. As per the UAE law, 10% of donations made through our UAE bank account or fundraising events in Dubai go to our regulator, the International Humanitarian City to support their emergency work.

Any public fundraising events require a license from IACAD which we can obtain through our affiliation with IHC. If you wish to take part in a sporting challenge, set up a campaign, fundraise for us or host an event in Dubai or donate to our UAE bank account, please get in touch with us at so we can guide you through the process.
